All about the 11 Days Uganda Gorilla Experience Safari.

Day 1: Travel from Entebbe, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison falls National Park

Your adventure begins as soon as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Here, you will be picked up by a driver who will then transport you to the guesthouse (a fifteen-minute drive from the airport).

The first part of your journey will take you from Entebbe to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. After being briefed by the ranger, you will drive to a place where the rhinos can be seen; the remaining distance to this area will be on foot. In most cases, you will be able to see the rhinos from very near, but always listen to the rangers! After rhino tracking and lunch, Continue on to Murchison Falls and proceed to the top of the falls where you will behold the Nile as it’s forced through a 7-meter gorge with a thunderous fall before your very own eyes.

Day 2:  Murchison Falls National Park Game Drive

Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest park in Uganda offering fulfilling game viewing. After an early breakfast, we will start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Look out for giraffes, elephants, hartebeests, buffaloes, leopards, lions and different bird species.

Indeed, it is a privilege to watch wild animals in their habitat as they eat, play, and protect the young. In the afternoon, the safari will continue on River Nile. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds. Watch the water the Murchison Falls, the ‘devils cauldron’. This kind of boat cruise is only found in Uganda in the whole of Africa.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today we will depart to the home of chimpanzees in Kibale National Park—the primate capital of East Africa. Kibale Forest is home to 13 species of primates with the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking. On this journey, you’ll have stunning views as you pass small villages, local markets and several birdlife. This is a day’s trip with packed lunch or in a town en-route.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp

Kibale National Park is the primate capital of East Africa. Chimpanzee trekking is a fulfilling adventure that takes you deep in the tropical forest across streams of water. You may also have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play and feed. After lunch, visit Bigodi Village and the swamp known for its rich diversity of birds and primates depending on the availability of time.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today after breakfast, Enjoy views of several crater lakes and the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Ranges en-route. On arrival in the park, Check in at the lodge, then prepare for an we shall an evening game.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and an Afternoon Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

You will start the day early at 6.35 am. You will enjoy a game drive looking for the predators of the park, In the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Here you will see very many different bird species and large mammals. The boat safari offers you great photo sessions in a relaxed way with lots of birdlife on the shores, crocodiles and elephants. After the boat ride, you will have a night at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge

Day 7: Transfer via Ishasha to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla Tracking

Have breakfast then set off for a breathtaking game viewing experience in the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are really hard to spot (most especially when they’re down in the grassland looking for prey).

Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Park, a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population), including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. Check in for Overnight at Ride for a woman Lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Today starts early. First, you will be briefed by the rangers, after which you will be appointed a group for tracking. The tracking can take several hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. The hike itself is spectacular and takes you through dense rainforest and up steep hills. Once you have found the gorillas, you will get to spend one hour with them. Eventually, with the help of your guide who is also a park ranger. You will find yourself face to face with the enormous and rare mountain gorillas. Then, it is time to go back to the lodge and share the experience with your friends!

Day 9: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park

The drive to Lake Mburo will take about 4 to 5 hours. After you have checked in at Rwakobo Rock, you will do an evening  game drive. Lake Mburo is the smallest park in Uganda but is still full of charm! It has a very large number of zebras and a family of Rothschild’s giraffes. Return back to the lodge enjoy a thrilling Picnic with a Campire.

Day 10: Community Walk in the Morning, Evening Walking Safari in the Park

Enjoy a Community walk learning and understanding the way of life, learn  and Participate in some activities like Local Milking, Ghee Making among others, Retire back at the lodge have lunch and prepare for the Evening Walking Safari. You will go for a walking safari, where you will have the chance to get up close and personal with the wildlife. Return back to the lodge and have an Overnight

Day 11: Return Journey including a Stop Over at the Equator Line

After breakfast, it is time to drive back to Entebbe via a stopover at the equator. Have some Photos at the Equator Mornuments, have Lunch and proceed to your destination in Entebbe/Kampala. The majority of your day will be spent preparing for your journey back home.
