All about the 3 Days Premier Safari | Murchison Falls National Park.

This safari is a three-day, two-night adventure trip to the beautiful Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the bulky Bunyoro escarpment merges into the vast plains of Acholi land. One of Uganda’s oldest conservation areas, it was initially gazetted as a game reserve in 1926 to protect the wildlife-filled savanna. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile which plunges an incredible 40 meters over the remnant rift valley wall at the dramatic Murchison Falls, the centerpiece of the park. The mighty Falls drains the last of the river’s energy and transforms it into a broad, placid stream that flows quietly across the rift valley floor for to Lake Albert. This stretch of river provides one of Uganda’s most memorable wildlife spectacles. Regular visitors include elephants, giraffes and buffalos while hippos and Nile crocodiles are permanent residents.

On this short but comprehensive safari experience, you will take a short hike to the top of Murchison Waterfalls; go for a game drive in the Nile Delta area, where you can spot wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, lions, primates, and birds; and embark on a three-hour boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, where you will find excellent photographic opportunities.

Stay overnight in safari tents in a camp located in the heart of the Park and offering a stunning view of the River Nile (accommodation upgrades are also available).

This safari gives you a great experience of Murchison Falls National Park. You will go for a game-drive on the savanna, spot animals on the shores of the Nile from a boat-cruise and visit the top of the falls and go for chimpanzee trekking in budongo forest.

Day 1 Transfer to Murchison Falls NP

Meet your safari guide and leave Entebbe/Kampala in the morning. Have the target of being at the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will experience the water-fall by going to the top of the falls. Hear the roar of the water flowing down and enjoy an excellent view.
Day 2 Game-drive and boat-cruise

Get up early to experience the animals of Murchison Falls during a game-drive. Chances are to see for example giraffes, buffaloes, lions and elephants. In the afternoon you head for a boat-cruise on the Nile spotting hippos and maybe crocodiles by the shores. At the end of this eventful day you are taken back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Day 3 Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast you leave Murchison Falls NP and head towards Kampala. On the way you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will take a walk to see the impressive rhinos. Continue on to Kampala to arrive there in the afternoon.
